Competitive Team

Strong and Successful

Are you looking for a Competitive or Xcel program for your athlete? We are holding assessments for new athletes during May and June. Inquire here or email us with details.

Through our dynamic gymnastics program and the individualization of the athletes, they acquire life skills such as self-discipline, independence, self-esteem, and the ability to cope with success and failure, all in a positive and con

structive manner.

A team atmosphere is highly encouraged here at ASF. Our National level coaching staff monitors all programs from our pre-competitive levels through to our high performance program. Every athlete receives the same technical instruction throughout the levels to again ensure proper gymnastic development from the beginner through to the Elite levels.

Pre-Competitive Program

This program is for girls ages 5 – 7 and is by test or invitation only. The focus in this program is to prepare young girls physically, technically and mentally for entrance into a competitive based program.
These athletes will train from 6 to 16 hours per week based on the group they are selected for. All athletes participate in the Gymnastics Ontario ODP competitions, these competitions are geared around testing physical attributes such as strength, flexibility, endurance and speed. The athletes between 7 and 9 years old will also compete in the OCP levels, with individual routines and will receive scores from the judges.
At the pre-competitive level we introduce the athletes to competition in a fun, friendly approach and encourage a team atmosphere.

It is a highly motivating environment here in our gym, as all ASF athletes and coaches work together to achieve common success!!

In some Pre-Comp, Provincial and National programs, a modified school schedule is put in place. ASF works with the families and schools to ensure the athlete is receiving everything she needs.
